Mei - Ling Li Animated Brat
In the vast and great world of television, there is an immense amount of variety. Through the various genres and categories of all television, one particular form stands out. Japanese anime. This area of television was first brought to the foreground with the arrival of Pokemon. Now, this show is becoming old, and uncared for, so attention is wandering. Other shows from this area have also grabbed interest, on of these is the show, CC Sakura. From this show is a character, which has captured audiences with both hatred, and liking. This young girl from Hong Kong with dark green hair and brown eyes has truly become the symbol of brattiness in television today. Even though this is so, Mei Ling Rei is deserving of the title of most interesting animated character on television because she is selfish and self centred, non -magical, and is very moody towards other characters.
Mei Ling is very selfish and self centred. All her main thoughts and ideas revolve around her, and her own well being. An example of this is that one of her greatest ambitions is to have more clothes and money. She is only concerned with her own ideas, and pulls other people into following them through constant complaints and annoying whining. A good example of this is in one episode where Mei Ling went skating with her friends. Even though she was wearing an unthinkable amount of clothing, she was still convinced that she was cold. Due to this, Mei Ling was constantly complaining, and attempting to get others to stay with her, huddled around a heater. However, though she is very selfish for herself, she is also selfish for other people as well. She has a strong belief that everything should go to her fianc, her cousin, Li. Besides that, Mei Ling is a self centred and selfish person that is only concerned with herself.
Mei Ling is also non magical. In a show where magic reigns supreme, this is a traits which is bound to make someone stand out. She is unable to use magic in any which way or form, unlike Li and Sakura. She is able to make up for this, however. She has great abilities in the field of martial arts. She has trained ever since she was a small child. Being that, she is very helpful in hurting magical beings physically, rather than with more magic. Her athletic ability also springs from this early life training. She is very strong in gymnastics and sprinting.
Being very moody towards other characters is another characteristic that is truly easy to recognize in her. Mei Ling has a great obsession with Li, her cousin/fianc. When other girls try to even talk to him, she goes crazy. She believes that everything must go to him, or has to be about him. A good example is whenever a magic card is sealed, she strongly believes that Li must have it, and that Sakura is unworthy. This leads to the fact that she is a friend to Sakura. Even though they have a somewhat stretched companionship, they get along, though, when magic is involved Mei Ling is supremely jealous of Sakura, and resents her. Relations with other girls, especially those who attempt to even look at Li, are very crazy. She will go berserk when something of the sort happen.
Mei Ling Rei is truly deserving of the title of most interesting animated character on television because she is selfish and self centred, non -magical, and is very moody towards other characters, all of which have been elaborated upon. She has a very eruptive nature and a very moody one as well. Overall, though, Mei Ling is beyond doubt the most interesting animated television character today. All who see her, whether for positive or negative reasons, will remember her. |
